This Is A Mommy Moment

"MOM, MOM, MOM....MONKEY IS EATING DIRT!!!" Yells my oldest daughter.
No way..how could she be eating dirt in the house? I was just packing up the diaper bag & after spending 30 minutes getting everyone ready to go out the door,So I turn around and THIS is what I saw......

A million things went through my head. "where did she get dirt in the 2 seconds that I turned around, Mr.T is a dead man(it was from his construction boots covered in Mud),how do I wash this out of her mouth?, is not like she knows how to spit;I just spent forever getting her dressed to go out now I have to dress her again, wash her down. And ewww did I say that combined with her spit it was turing into its own milkshake? It better just be dirt cause it was on the bottom of his boot, it can't be dog poo!!! It is dirt. So I smell it. Okay not too sure. So I taste it. why am I tasting this? I guess for my peace of mind. Okay it is just dirt! Thank the lord. This is a situation that really made me remind myself that I am a Mom!

Starting Finger Foods

Which foods make the best finger foods?

My little monkey has been starting finger foods. the question is...what is the best food to introduce to her at the start? here is a good list I found off of my favorite go-to-site. www.babycenter.com

•  Very small chunks of cheese

•  Chopped hard-boiled egg

•  Cut-up raisins, softened dried apricots, or stewed prunes

•  Small pieces of well-cooked vegetables, like carrots, peas, zucchini, potato, or sweet potato

•  Small well-cooked broccoli or cauliflower "trees"

•  Pea-size pieces of cooked chicken or other soft meat

•  Rice cakes or crackers broken into small pieces

•  O-shaped toasted oat cereal or other low-sugar cereal

•  Lightly toasted bread or bagels (spread with vegetable puree for extra vitamins)

•  Small chunks of banana or other very ripe peeled and pitted fruit, like mango, plum, pear, peach, cantaloupe, or seedless watermelon

•  Small cubes of tofu

•  Well-cooked pasta spirals, cut into pieces

Life Laughs & Baby Laughs

If you are a tired mom and looking for a great laugh you have to pick up these books. It is Pure humour, very graffic material and could quite possibly scare you from getting pregant and having to deal with the labour in the delivery room.  I couldnt put them down because she was so open with what she was saying in the book that I was almost jaw dropped at the things I was reading. It is a very fast simple read. Jenny has a brash "tell-it-like-it-is" sense of humor. I was continuously taken back and lightly shocked, but laughing all the way. It was as if you were reading the script of a somewhat irreverent stand-up comic. I caught myself laughing out loud many times.

Rosie turns 3

My baby girl is alomst standing. She had no Idea she was doing it. All she was after was the buckles of the chair! Glad I had my camera close by for this.

Pregant Belly With Monkey

Katie Perry on Sesame Street

Katie perrys video On sesame Street had turned sour from parent viewers.
Is this really a big deal??
They are saying that she was dressed in way too revealing clothing for preschoolers to be watching. Personally I though it was a cute video. It was colorful and fun. Take a deep breath people, its not the end of the world. I dont think preschoolers are really caring about this so why are you?
Would I want my 3 year old daughter wearing clothes like that?
No.
But seriously I think my daughter was looking at Elmo and not her breasts. I guess maybe it was a little revealing, maybe they could redo the video with her a little more covered to make some peace.  Check out the video below and see what you think.

I would do anything for Sleep

If there is one thing that has changed the most with having kids it is Zero sleep. Broken sleep. Half hour at a time sleep. Tonight was the first night in 9 months of my youngest being born that I said to my hubby...Im not feeling so great I am going to go to bed after dinner and I need you to put the girls to sleep.  Easier said than done. Or should I say wishful thinking?!
This is how my evening went....

Baby in bed by 7pm ***Check**
Get my p.js on ***Check***
Hit the pillow by 8pm with no kids ***check***
finally for the 1st time ME in bed by 8pm...Ahhhh Bliss.
8.20pm--hear baby on the monitor (soother fell out), out of bed I go.
finally fall back asleep by 8:45pm,
then oldest daughter wants to come and sleep with me.
 no problem.
Just be quiet so sick Mama can sleep. She was super hyper....still no sleep for me. I feel like Im going to puke. maybe the flu bug?
An hour later, sleep time!...5 minutes of rest.  Then Hubby starts throwing up in the bathroom. He was hit hard by the flu. Baby wakes up during the bathroom situation. Nooooo. I guess my early night is not going to happen tonight. Downstairs to feed baby. Whatever happened to "me" feeling ill?! It all started with me needing to go to bed early because I was feeling yucky, Who is going to take care of me? Nothing makes me more sick than rocking in a rocking chair. But That's what I do. I am Mom. then It turns out to be Just-one-of-those-night.

Tonight is a true motherhood night. Can you relate?

Super Mom

I am a bum wiping
Spider squishing
Vegetable sneaking
Sticky floor cleaning
Goddess.

I am a lullaby singing
Bear hug giving
Good night kissing
Boo boo fixing
Superstar.

I am a grocery shopping

Tantrum stopping
Potty training
Diaper changing
Diva.

I am mom!
